Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week

chd weekIn a week where we are celebrating all matters of the heart, it’s only appropriate that this week is also one dedicated to Congenital Heart Defects and Childhood Heart Disease.

CHD is considered to be the most common birth defect.  Approximately 40,000 babies in the U.S. are affected by CHD each year.  But when the children are diagnosed, the families are also affected.

We only find it appropriate that we take the time this week to hear from some of these families as they share their stories of their strength, their courage, their faith and their amazing children.  We invite you along with us today as we are joined by three local moms and guest contributors as they share their families’ journeys with us.   We hope that their sharing will bring an awareness to you should your life ever be touched by CHD.
