Something exciting is happening in San Antonio tomorrow and if you are familiar with any of the amazing non-profit organizations in San Antonio, there’s a good chance you’ve heard about The Big Give S.A.  But what exactly is The Big Give S.A.?

Beginning at midnight May 6, 2014 and lasting until 11:59pm, San Antonio will kick off The Big Give S.A.  With 467 Bexar county non-profit organizations taking place, The Big Give S.A. is a 24 hour day of giving for the San Antonio community.  The Big Give S.A. is turning the spirit of giving into a city-wide movement and bringing awareness to the issues that face our city and the many non-profits that aim to make a positive change in San Antonio.

Anyone can make a donation on May 6 through The Big Give S.A. to a non-profit organization of their choice – just visit www.thebiggivesa.org.  Donation minimums are $10 with no maximum and you can choose to give to any one of the 467 worthy causes.

But what makes The Big Give S.A. different for non-profits and why should you donate through The Big Give S.A. tomorrow?  There are opportunities for matching funds and prizes awarded to non-profits for that hit specific milestones or have the most amount of giving during specific hours of the day so not only does your donation assist the non-profit directly but you are also giving the non-profit the opportunity to earn additional funding with your donation!

Get your kids involved in giving!  Give them some categories to choose from, like pets, libraries, parks or kids, and have them help decide which causes to support. Philanthropy can be learned at an early age. Show your kids how to support and improve their city with giving.

Join us in significantly impacting the city of San Antonio with a donation to a non-profit that touches your heart!  You can see the list of participating organizations here and learn about each of the non-profit organizations.  Get to know our city’s non-profits that make San Antonio a better place to live!
