We Love Our Team! A Look Back at the Archives {Katie, Bridget and Amanda}

As we continue this week with our virtual Love Fest, we move on to our next three team members that we think are pretty spiffy. Their contributions, styles of writing and experiences on motherhood are quite different from one another, which is one of the things we love best about the Alamo City Moms Blog team.

LoveKatie.jpgKatie

When we first met Katie, she was a nervous mom-to-be that found us through another City Moms Blog.  Not only is she the hippest librarian we know, we love her earth-momma zen-ness.  She can tell you the newest, best book for children and name off places to take your baby for yoga classes in the same breath.  Katie struggled with infertility and wasn’t afraid to open up about it, which takes so much courage and is one of our favorite posts.  We adore you, Katie, and can’t wait to follow along as Audrey continues to blossom!

LoveBridgetBridget

One of the things that we love so much about Alamo City Moms Blog is that it encompasses all moms, regardless of how they earned their title.  When Bridget married her husband, she also became part of his family and is “step-mom” (a word that conjures up thoughts that are the exact opposite of Bridget) to her two children.  Bridget told us later on that she was nervous to apply to be part of ACMB, and we can’t imagine it without her!  Her fresh, fun take on navigating the world of motherhood provides great reading and is exactly in line with what ACMB is all about: connecting moms!  Here’s a great post from Bridget about how she keeps tabs on technology in her house:

LoveAmandaAmanda

How can you not like someone who claims her favorite color to be “Sparkle”?  Amanda is our most glittery contributor and is mom to precious petite and is an early childhood educator.  Oh and she is a fantastic photographer who takes swoon-worthy pictures and she shared some of her picture taking tips with our team.  And she, along with two other talented women, runs the gorgeous blog Handmade Mood.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, you simply must do so.  The ideas for celebrating life- holidays, birthdays, food, you name it- are amazing.  Amanda’s list of awesomeness is long and we are so glad she is part of the ACMB team!  Here’s one of our favorite posts from Amanda because if you can’t laugh about the daunting task that potty-training is, you might just cry.
