Alamo City Moms Blog Favorite Things

Favorite

On Tuesday, we gathered for an evening of fun and festivities with the Alamo City Moms Blog Team. Our night was filled with laughter, a gift exchange, and a delicious dinner provided by Pollo Tropical, the island-inspired chicken restaurant that recently opened its doors in San Antonio. And y’all, Pollo Tropical is delish! If we have to recommend anything, it’s the chicken paired with the curry dip. The corn souffle was equally amazing!

What our team didn’t know is that we’d been doing a little stealth research over the last few months, and we wanted to surprise them with a few of their favorite things! We approached some of our favorite businesses and asked them to participate so that we could put together a package full of surprises for the ACMB Team, and after weeks of planning, we can finally share our list of Alamo City Moms Blog’s Favorite Things!

Elements Therapeutic Massage

ElementsAsk any mom on our team whether she could use a massage, and we’re willing to bet the answer would be “yes!” When we decided we wanted to spoil our team, we knew massages were a necessity. And who better to provide them than the team at Elements Therapeutic Massage? Ahhhh!! Their 55-minute treatments at two convenient San Antonio locations (Alon Shopping Center & Stone Oak) are exactly what our tired mamas’ muscles need to ease into the holidays.

Sarahjane Oilcloth Totes

sarahjaneOh, the mom bag! I think you could just about pull Mary Poppins out of most of our bags if you asked us to. But we are just in love with Sarahjane Oilcloth Totes. These bags are big, bright, and colorful and scream San Antonio…maybe because the owner is from right here in the Alamo City!

 Cinco Vodka

At Alamo City Moms Blog, we love locally owned businesses! Contributor Megan just loves locally owned and operated Cinco Vodka. This five-star vodka is made by hand in small batches right here in Texas. We celebrated the night with specialty cocktails by Cinco Vodka, and each of our team members walked away with a few of the last glass mini-bottles of Cinco Vodka.

From Scratch Farm Healing Salve

FSFHealingSalve

We partnered with From Scratch Farm for our First Birthday Bash and quickly learned that contributors Candice and Maggie love their products! Double points for From Scratch Farm for being both local and organic! Their Healing Balms are a combination of beeswax and oils, making them amazing for your skin. Plus, they smell great too!

Bakery Lorraine Macarons

bakerylorraineDo you ever wonder what heaven tastes like? Head to Bakery Lorraine, try one of their macarons, and you will have the answer. Contributor Amanda LOVES these items, and they are, most definitely, one of her favorite things! Hint: These make great hostess gifts!

The Home. T

Our contributor and copy editor, Taylor, is a huge fan of a comfy tee, so we knew we could combine a tee and a little Texas love together with one of our faves, The Home. T. These t-shirts are seriously the most comfortable things you will ever place on your body. And we especially love that The Home. T donates a portion of its profits to multiple sclerosis research!

Charm & Gumption Prints

charmgumptionDon’t we all need a little encouragement in our lives? We absolutely adore these gold foil prints by Charm & Gumption. They add the perfect amount of “momspiration” we need to keep us going when the going gets tough!

Cookie Cab

chocolatechipcookiecabYou could say contributors Inga, Elizabeth, and Denise have a bit of a thing for chocolate, so we just knew Cookie Cab had to be included in our Favorite Things! Fresh hot cookies delivered straight to your doorstep? Yes, please! And the business was founded by two local moms, which we at Alamo City Moms Blog think is fantastic!

Karma Candle Makers

karmacandleIs there anything more pleasant than a fabulous smell wafting through your house? Oh, perhaps…but not much. We were thrilled to include Karma Candle Makers in our Favorite Things! These premium, hand-crafted soy wax candles are muy incredible, and their Home for the Holidays scent of the month is sure to get our team in the holiday spirits!

Al’s Gourmet Nuts

alsgourmetnutsIf you are a Farmer’s Market junkie like contributor Sarah, there’s a good chance you’ve started a love affair with Al’s Gourmet Nuts, a Pearl Farmer’s Market staple. Holy cow—are these flavored nuts tasty! We know we have some snackers on our team, and these tasty little treats made by a San Antonio couple are just perfection.

Independent Consultant_Vertical LockupAnd last, couldn’t we all use a little low-maintenance beauty routine in our lives?
