On Wednesday, October 28, over 300 people gathered together at CRIT USA for Alamo City Moms Blog’s 3rd Annual Moms’ Night Out Event, Mummies’ Night Out: Leave Your Little Monsters at Home. Co-sponsored by University Health System and Vital Life Wellness Center, this event turned out to be our most fun yet!
Our attendees went all out with their costumes, and we were so impressed! Moms came ready to enjoy the night. They talked, laughed, ate, enjoyed, and then danced the night away, and we were thrilled to hear such great reviews!
University Health System not only provided each of our attendees with reusable shopping bags to “Trick or Treat” for swag from our vendors, but they informed San Antonio women about health concerns that we should be aware of and the incredible women’s health services University Health System provides.
Vital Life Wellness Center had staff on hand to teach attendees about their different services. Because Vital Life Wellness Center focuses on preventative medicine, they gave tips on how to start with a healthy foundation and talked about the variety of services they offer, including Family Medicine, Brain Wellness, Allergy Services, and more.
Mummies’ Night Out attendees had the chance to tour the incredible facilities of CRIT USA, a children’s rehabilitation institute for children with neuromusculoskeletal disorders right here in San Antonio. The leading private pediatric rehabilitative healthcare provider in the world, CRIT is funded by TeletonUSA and allows families amazing rehabilitation services at very low costs. Mummies’ Night Out attendees were able to participate in fundraising for CRIT USA and families who receive their services through their piggy bank fundraiser. Piggy banks are still available for all ACMB readers and can be collected at CRIT USA.
CRIT USA was transformed into a Halloween extravaganza by our partner and decoration provider, Spirit Halloween! We partnered with a number of local businesses, organizations, and schools that made their interaction and entertainment with attendees over-the-top fun! A special thank you to our Snow White and Evil Queen, the impressive ladies in costume from Time Out Sitters, as well as BASIS North San Antonio and BASIS San Antonio, DELIish, Love to Swim and Tumble School, You’ve Got MAIDS, San Antonio Zoo, Happy Family Organics Foods, School of Rock, and San Antonio Shoemakers, who were there to mix and mingle with our attendees. Entertainment, activities, and additional perks were provided by Crafthouse SA, Caswell Designs Face Painting, Waxing The City Stone Oak, Massage Heights Deerfield Crossing, and MBP Photobooth Co.
Our retail vendors had plenty of goods for moms to walk away with. They included Christina Welch with Stella & Dot, From Scratch Farm, Fox & Tots Boutique, Organic Chix, and The Bra Chick.
Amazing food and beverages were provided by Alamo Cafe, Tribeca, Liberty Bar, Trader Joe’s, Wingstop, Annie’s Petite Treats, Tiff’s Treats, Famous Juice Co., Austin Cocktails, Menchie’s at The Shops at Lincoln Heights, and Bahama Bucks Stone Oak & Jones Maltsburger! The spread was pretty sweet, and moms were able to fill their bellies on the assorted deliciousness.
The party really got bumping when party DJ Elite Entertainment turned up the music and the moms hit the dance floor!
Big kudos to the winners of our costume contest: Frankenstein’s Bride, the Magical Unicorn, and the Sister Wives!
And a special thanks to our giveaway and swag donors The House Boozy Ice Cream, Kendra Scott, Fit4Mom, Karma Candle Makers, Flamingo Rey’s, Muddy Crowns, Bella Fitness, Revolution SAT, Alamo Cafe, Altitude Trampoline Park, Zips Car Wash, Whole Earth Provisions, Palser Chiropractic, Santikos, Versona, Fabric Art by Townsend, Pam’s Patio Kitchen, Big Bob’s Burgers, Marleylilly, Stonyfield Yogurt, Revolution Foods, Creations by Crys, Bird Bakery, Sew I Embroider, Amy’s Ice Cream, Hail Merry, Moms of Multiples, Skinny Pop Popcorn, Brothers All Natural Fruit Crisps, Neat Cheeks, Nature’s Bakery, and Bakery Lorraine.
And last but not least, we simply could not put together our events without the support and hard work of the Alamo City Moms Blog Contributors. If we could give these women a collective standing slow clap, we would be all over it!
We can’t wait for our 2016 Moms Night Out and have already begun planning for it! Let us know if you have feedback, thoughts, suggestions, or praises—we’d love to include them as we work on next year’s party!
We’d also like to express our appreciation to ARG Photographs and Mewborne Photography for capturing our event pictures. Amanda and Jessica are both talented in capturing children and families, and we encourage you to check out their websites!
