Recap | Primavera: A Spring Egg Hunt

We take our family fun seriously at ACMB, and Primavera: A Spring Egg Hunt was no exception! The Witte Museum graciously opened their gates to a sold-out crowd for an awesome spring day filled with food, games, and almost 5,000 eggs waiting to be found.Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0218

Primavera: A Spring Egg Hunt would not have been possible without the support of our Co-Title Sponsor, University Health System. University Health System is a nationally recognized teaching hospital and network of outpatient healthcare centers, owned by the people of Bexar County. UHS is consistently recognized as a leader in advanced treatment options, new technologies, and clinical research.Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0217

The UHS tables featured kid-centric topics from their extensive pediatric units, including: Children’s Health, Pediatrics, Sports/Orthopedics, Asthma, and SafeKids San Antonio. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0216

Our event partners, Time Out Sitters, brought some of their sitters and a super popular spring crown activity for event attendees. Many of the attendees’ kids saw their favorite sitters at Primavera! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0206 Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0202

Our own events team did a stellar job organizing, partnering, decorating, and egg scattering. Without them, we wouldn’t have an event!  Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0224

Our food partners had so many good things to taste, like all of those goodies from Munch On!  Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0219

Paul’s Gourmet Popcorn had four of their most fun (and colorful!) flavors to try, and they were a big hit! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0220

Tohui Language Academy, which provides immersion curriculum in three languages, engaged kiddos with their giant panda and cool frames made with popsicle sticks. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0215

The only good mosquito is a dead one, so Mosquito Squad let kids toss a bean bag at a mosquito for prizes! If you have mosquito issues, you need these people in your life! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0214

We can’t thank the vendors and egg hunt sponsors enough for their generous egg donations! Many filled their eggs with items unique to their company—and some did other cool things, like the DoSeum, with their colorful Rubik’s cubes, and UHS, which hid sunglasses and Frisbees for the egg hunters. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0213

The Witte opened its exhibits and property to the attendees who wanted to enjoy them before and after Primavera, and Brain Balance Achievement Centers was on hand with information on their methods and classes. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0212

We even had a visit from the Tooth Fairy! Stone Oak and Dominion Pediatric Dentistry brought their fairy friend to help with games and prizes. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0208

Bird Bakery made sure everyone had yummy cupcakes, Kind Bars kept all the moms and dads energized, and Tiff’s Treats sent warm, soft cookies for a special treat. Costco generously provided water and snacks for everyone. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0207

So many bunnies were taken home, thanks to Painting with a Twist. Their easy, beautiful art pieces were lovingly recreated by scores of petite Picassos.  Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0209

Caswell Designs created magic with her fanciful face painting skills. She’s a hit with littles, tweens, and parents alike at every event she goes to!Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0210

Happy Family provided samples of organic goods for your snacks that taste just as fabulous as they sound. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0211

Pete’s Tako House tickled taste buds with fideo and beans, and Menchie’s in Lincoln Heights offered tastes of cool frozen yogurt.  Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0205

We were so pleased to welcome students from St. Luke’s Episcopal School, who shared about their learning experiences and engaged attendees in fun games. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0204

The line to tumble with The Little Gym seemed perpetual, but the smiling faces made the wait worthwhile.

Games2U set up an inflatable basketball game—and I think there were some grownups who enjoyed it as much as the kiddos did! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0201

Love to Swim and Tumble School had a cool giant roll-the-dice game for prizes! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0200

The Batman of San Antonio and Rapunzel from Fairytale Friends of SA probably talked to every single kid at Primavera—and took just as many pictures! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0203

A huge thanks to all of our ACMB team members and Mombassadors who helped out all day long! If you love our “Fiesta Madre” shirts, hurry and grab one while we still have some for sale! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0228

Finally the big moment came: with more than 5,000 eggs set, donated by our very generous partners, it was time to hunt eggs! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0226

With three designated areas for ages two and under, three- to five-year-olds, and kiddos over six, we were able to ensure every kid went home with a basket full of eggs. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0227 Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0229 Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0230

And since half the fun of an egg hunt is opening the eggs, we caught lots of oohs and ahhs as well as some strategic trading! Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0225

It was wonderful to have so many families join us for an afternoon. We couldn’t have picked better weather or a more perfect venue. Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0232 Alamo City Moms Blog Primavera Spring Egg Hunt_0223

Thank you to all of our sponsors and partners for your time, donations, and fun you brought to Primavera. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
