Holiday Magic Under the Stars at Christmas Light Fest

We are excited to partner with Christmas Light Fest to bring you this sponsored post.

Looking to throw some extra twinkle into your holidays this year? How about the glow of more than two million lights, dazzling under the star-filled sky? Or Santa sitting by a roaring fireplace in a rustic barn, waiting to hear holiday wishes (and take fantastic pictures) as you sip hot chocolate and take it all in? If that sounds like the perfect addition to your holidays, put Christmas Light Fest at the top of your must list this season.

Can’t imagine fitting something else on your calendar? Catch your breath and enjoy the beauty of the season with a true Texas twist by adding a bit of ranch relaxation to your holiday fun at Christmas Light Fest. This light-filled extravaganza will entrance your little ones while leaving you relaxed and filled to the brim with holiday spirit that is sure to last all season long.

Now through New Year’s Eve, you have the opportunity to make unforgettable holiday memories with your family as you drive through the magnificent light tunnels and displays that illuminate the ranch each night. Just 20 minutes outside of San Antonio, Christmas Light Fest features gorgeous displays of sparkling lights filling two miles of historic ranchland. The picturesque location of the country ranch and twinkling lights combine to create the ultimate Texas holiday experience.

While the displays are dazzling, what makes a visit to Christmas Light Fest unlike any other light show is a stop at Santa’s Village. Nestled in a rustic barn brimming with holiday cheer, Santa’s Village is located along the light trail, offering the perfect spot to relax and let little ones get into the holiday spirit. While you shop for gifts and pick up a treat or two yourself, let your kids decorate holiday cookies, write a letter to Santa, get their faces painted, and add their Christmas wishes to the “All I Want for Christmas” holiday board.

If your crew is hungry, you can enjoy a variety of sweet and savory holiday treats including s’mores, coffee, hot chocolate, kettle corn, sausage on a stick, fajitas, burgers, and more. Make your own s’mores—and terrific memories!—over the fire while enjoying the rustic setting with your littlest holiday fans. After all, nothing lifts your spirit and reminds you what this season is all about than smiling faces lost in the magic of holiday fun.

Of course, this magnificent holiday extravaganza wouldn’t be complete without a visit from the jolly ol’ man himself. Shhh… don’t tell anyone, but Santa spends most of his December in Texas, admiring the magic of Christmas Light Fest. The man in red is visiting his favorite ranch every weekend before Christmas and the last few days before the big day (December 1–3, 8–10, 15–17, and 21–24). Even better: come out for Wonderful Wednesdays and enjoy free cookies with Santa every Wednesday night in December! Enjoy a sweet treat and give Santa your wish list December 6, 13, and 20. Decorate cookies, play games, and stroll through even more lights for perfect picture opportunities and fun.

To enjoy Christmas Light Fest, drive through the festive displays in the comfort of your own vehicle, or experience everything ranch-style, catching a hayride to tour the lights. Tickets are $27 per vehicle to tour the ranch, or $15 per person for a hayride. To ensure availability, hayrides should be purchased in advance online. Onsite parking is free. Vehicle passes and hayride tickets are available at www.christmaslightfest.com. Private hayrides are also available by reservation, so gather your friends and family for a unique holiday get-together.

You can also help spread the holiday spirit to families in need by supporting Christmas Light Fest’s food drive for the San Antonio Food Bank. Donate non-perishable food and canned goods, and for every donation, Christmas Light Fest will take $2 off of your vehicle pass. Bring your donation on a week night (Sunday–Thursday), and receive $4 off!

So when the stress of the holidays starts to weigh you down, get out and make memories under the star-filled sky.
