Moms Night Out ~ What You Need to Know!

Do you ever find yourself wishing for a way to get out of the house, chat with other mamas, and relax with a cool beverage, sans children? Look no further, my friend. Alamo City Moms Blog is hosting our first Moms Night Out and we want to give you an idea of what to expect when you join us for this fun evening away from typical mommy routines!

mno5How do I get a ticket?  You can reserve tickets online here and unfortunately, these are only available for purchase online and will not be sold at the door.  Don’t worry about printing your ticket, but make sure to sign up soon because space is limited!

Where and when is this shin-dig being held? We are so excited to have partnered with the super cute bevello boutique in Quarry Village.  The event kicks off on Thursday, September 19, at 7:00.  Upon check-in at the front door, you will be given a name-tag and a raffle ticket to enter your choice of a giveaway.  From there, you are free to mix and mingle while enjoying delicious food from Piatti.  You can relax with a glass of wine or a yummy non-alcoholic cucumber cooler.  You won’t have to spend a cent during this evening, unless you want to take advantage of some great deals from our vendors, including 20% off of anything in the store.  And learn a little more about our event sponsors: Eat Well SA, Lilla Rose Independent Consultant Connie Lippenholz & Thirty-One Gifts Independent Consultant Libby Odegaard.

What’s this you say about SWAG bags? Excellent question.  Each Moms Night Out-er will receive a SWAG bag full of awesome products and coupons from businesses including, but not limited to: Whole Earth Provision, Amy’s Ice Cream, GoGo Squeez, Piatti, bevello, Three Lollies, Style America, and It Works! Make sure to pick one up on your way out the door at 9:00!

Can you explain more about giveaways?  Absolutely!  When you sign up to attend the event, you are automatically given a  ticket that you can place in a bowl for the chance to win one of our fantastic giveaways from Avante Spa, Aquarius Boutique, El Jarro de Arturo, bevello, Piatti, It Works!, Chewbeads, Whole Earth Provision, and more.  We will draw names of the lucky winners at 8:30 and each winner must be present to claim her prize.

What if I want to enter more than one giveaway?  Knowing what awesome things are up for grabs, I promise you will want more chances to win!  What better way to get a few extra entries than to provide something back to our San Antonio community? We are thrilled to have partnered with the incredible  St. PJ’s Children’s Home and any mamma that brings a donation of a personal hygiene item (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.) will automatically receive an additional five giveaway tickets.  You will also have another way to earn additional tickets at the event… but that’s a secret that you’ll have to find out when you arrive!

Let’s talk clothes. What should I wear? While it would be lovely if this event happened to be on a cool and crisp fall evening as imagined, we all know that it can stay quite warm in San Antonio through the month of September (how about that heat wave last week… brutal!).  We suggest light and casual chic.  Have a cute dress that you have been wanting to wear?  Go for it!  Joining us after a long day of work and don’t have time to change?  Not a problem!  Don’t have time to think about an outfit? Mom shorts are also perfectly fine!  One great thing about the Alamo City is that we are a laid back mix of formal and informal, so dress in a way that you feel comfortable.

Do I need to bring anything with me? All you’ll need is your ID for check-in and some cash or credit cards if you plan on doing a little shopping while you are out and about.  Parking at Quarry Village is free, but if you decide to partake in a few adult beverages, please plan accordingly with a designated driver.  Make sure to leave your diaper bag at home!

Any chance of an after party? Funny you should ask!  Mamas wanting to continue that party can mosey down to Max’s Wine Dive for specials offers on wine and food.  Make sure to follow us on Facebook and check the Moms Night Out page for more info soon!

What if I don’t know anyone else going? No worries!  One of the main reasons we are having this event is to connect local moms.  Whether you are a mama expecting your first baby, new to the San Antonio area, or just looking for a fun night out, we are excited to meet you!  The ACMB team will be around helping out and there will be fun opportunities to get to know other mamas.

Do you have any other questions?  Post in the comments, on our Facebook page, or tweet to us.  We can’t wait to see you on September 19!

Thanks again to our awesome sponsors and make sure to follow us on social media and subscribe via email to receive updates!
