Pregnancy is a time unique to any other in your life. For 40 weeks, you are creating life, sharing your body with another, and experiencing a beauty like you’ve never known.
While many documentaries follow specific story lines or have certain motives behind them, our partners at Mission Pharmacal are the sponsors of a new documentary, 40 Weeks, that simply celebrates those 40 weeks and journeys alongside 15 women and their pregnancies, step by step, from conception to birth. This special documentary from Big Belli takes viewers through the very normal side of pregnancy but also showcases the setbacks that some of the women face.
As I watched the film, I was transported back to my own pregnancies and relived the celebrations and heartaches that came with each of mine. While the documented women and I lead different lives, we all share the common bond that motherhood brings, and I felt such a connection to these women during these stages of becoming a mother.
