Introducing ACMB Neighborhood Groups

Our primary goal in creating Alamo City Moms Blog was to connect moms online as well as offline through playdates and our events. We know that being a mom is the most rewarding job we can do, but it’s also the hardest. We all need some support now and then from others who know just what we are going through! We’ve loved doing this through our larger events, but we are looking to incorporate some more intimate ways for San Antonio moms to connect.

ACMB Neighborhood Groups

San Antonio is the seventh largest city in the United States, and we would like to make it feel a little smaller! We’ve decided to create Neighborhood Groups on Facebook that will help you all facilitate playdates and mommy meet-ups, learn more about your specific neighborhood, or simply pose a question to a group of moms. Whether you’re a new mom, new to the city, or just want to meet new friends, these groups will be the perfect way to connect with moms in your area.

We currently have 13 neighborhood Facebook groups available to join. Don’t see your neighborhood? Because San Antonio is so large, we aren’t able to list every suburb—so start with the group closest to you and hop in. We’re just starting this program, so please let us know if your neighborhood isn’t close to any of the listed groups so we can get your area covered. Just click on your neighborhood and ask to join the group!

  1. […] This group  of ladies can also be followed on Facebook.  They also feature local blogger moms that touch on subjects we all experience from childrearing to the toll it takes on your body to how to’s.  What’s really special about this group of ladies is that they offer online Facebook mommy groups for different areas of the city and they are a wealth of information.  You can sign up and read up on the groups on Alamo City Mom Blogs […]

  2. Hi, love the blog! Just wanted to point out that Lackland is not considered the south side. It’s far west, or just west side (which would be great to have a group for…..east side as well). Brooks City Base area is considered Southside, however. I think the groups are a great idea!

    • On second thought, looks like lackland is technically not part of the far west side. I’m a native and thought I knew SA pretty well..hah. Sorry about that!
