SuperLeague.com is the first in-theater gaming league set inside major movie theaters across the country where gamers can socialize, move around, and compete in a recreational setting. Super League President and COO Brett Morris is a dad. He says, “As a parent, you want your kids to explore their passions, but when they’re by themselves, consumed in this other world, you can’t help but want them to be out with other kids their age, connecting over shared passions. That’s what Super League is meant to do: bring gamers together for some good old-fashioned competitive fun in a safe environment.”

Super League recently came to San Antonio’s Regal Live Oak Cinema for an evening of arena-style Minecraft competitions, and they are returning October 6th to continue the builder battles through after-school leagues.

Their six-week after-school leagues start Tuesday, October 6. Super League’s after-school enrichment program leverages Minecraft on a BIG screen for an interactive learning experience. Minecraft is already well known for its educational value, but Super League takes it one step further by assigning participants to teams of four to seven players that work together toward a common goal.

Most players range from 6–18 years old, but all Minecraft players are welcome. All games will begin at 4:30 P.M., and tickets are $100 for six Minecraft gaming sessions. This is a great opportunity for parents to get their gamer kids out of the house for a few afternoons of creative construction, teamwork, and social skills development.
