San Antonio Scoop: Family Fun in the Alamo City for October 9–15

chalkThis weekend is one of my all-time favorite San Antonio events: Artpace’s Chalk It Up! Plus, I love Houston Street, where it all takes place. Community and creativity converge for a full day of amazing chalk art and plenty of opportunity for kids to express themselves. Now in its twelfth year, this event draws thousands. Brave the crowds; it’s worth it.

BUT! If you can manage it, I’d urge you to try to squeeze in two events on Saturday. Plenty of fall festivals take place this weekend, and most are free.
