Summer Doesn’t Have to Be A Bummer

Our partners at Love to Swim and Tumble School offer a wonderful “No Bummer Summer Camp” for kids to stay active all summer long. Today they’re sharing one mom’s perspective on why her kiddos will attend.

For some of us, summer is a time of relaxation, exploration, and vacations. We celebrate time with friends and family whom we don’t see often during the busy school year. For others, summer doesn’t slow down at all. School is out and the kiddos need a safe place to stay, with folks they can trust, and hopefully also have some fun too.  It can be quite a challenge every year.

That’s why we were so happy to hear Love to Swim and Tumble School is hosting their No Bummer Summer Camps again, now at all three locations: Huebner (north central), Stone Oak, and Schertz! We had a taste of their camps during Spring Break when my kids did the one-day drop-in. They had a BLAST and begged for more! This summer, weekly camp themes vary from LEGO Mania to Dr. Seuss to Minions. You can choose one week, a few weeks, or attend all summer long. They even have extended care for working parents.

We’ve enjoyed our year-round swim lessons with Love to Swim and Tumble School over the years. My children LOVE their coaches. We’ve come to think of our school as an extension of our little family. The staff members know us by name and share in our successes and busy life. What a huge relief knowing I can sign up my children for camps with folks they already know and love.

The Love to Swim and Tumble School summer camp curriculum incorporates swimming, tumbling, team building games, crafts, and other movement based activities—perfect for keeping those kiddos active and screen-free. The facility is spacious with plenty of changing rooms and heated pools.

The best part of the summer camp? The kiddos will rest peacefully after a fun-filled day with new friends and share excitement about the next day! Call the location nearest you to reserve your child’s spot. For more information about Love to Swim, visit their website.
