Fiesta Fun for a Great Cause at Taste of the Northside

Alamo City Moms is happy to partner with Brighton Center to make you aware of their wonderful services for children and fundraising events.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—in the Alamo City, that is. Doors are adorned with colorful wreaths, festive medals are sold and traded at every corner, papel picado (paper banners) hangs across trees and patios, and the locals are struttin’ their brightly colored, spring apparel. This could only mean one thing: Fiesta! I hope you’re joining in on the celebration.

One of my favorite Fiesta events, Taste of the Northside, takes the party outside the downtown area into the suburbs. It is set for Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 6:00–11:00 P.MFor one day only, the grounds of the SSFCU Event Center will transform into a huge outdoor party that includes four stages with live bands, delicious food from more than 30 restaurants around the city, and fine wine and beer selections. The all-inclusive ticket and upscale environment make this event nothing short of Fiesta Fabulous!

Your entrance fee includes unlimited food tastings. Come prepared to fill your belly with delectable bites from some of San Antonio’s best restaurants. Participating businesses include Smokey Mo’s, Toro Kitchen & Bar, Paloma Blanca and many, many more.

While we all like a good party, it is important to remember to drink responsibly. Finding a designated driver is strongly suggested, or better yet, use Uber.

The best part is all proceeds go to the Brighton Center, a wonderful organization that provides family and community education as well as developmental services to children with disabilities or delays, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential. Brighton Center believes in children with all ABILITIES!

So grab your sunglasses, comfortable shoes, and friends. The more, the merrier! For more information on Taste of the Northside and to purchase tickets, visit their website.
